Cherry Tooke Cake With Vanilla Sauce |

METHOD
TOOKE CHERRY CAKE
- Whisk the eggs, sugar and vanilla together.
- Add the RTF, baking powder and milk to the above mixture and continue to whisk till smooth.
- Add the melted butter and continue whisking.
- Pour the mixture into open greased tart tins and top with halved black cherries.
- Bake for 40 minutes at 15oC and cool on a wire rack
VANILLA SAUCE
- Bring the milk to boil and add sugar to it while stirring, reduce the heat.
- Mix corn flour with a little cold water to form a paste and add it to the simmering milk.
- Keep stirring till smooth and thick.
- Add the vanilla extract and stir, leave to cook for 5 minutes.
- Serve hot or warm with the Tooke cherry cake.
